Gorana is a registered social worker and psychotherapist, who has been in the field of mental health since 2013. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Windsor. Gorana works with clients to help them understand and address the root cause of their challenges and learn how to live compassionately, mindfully, and peacefully. Gorana provides individual therapy to youth and adults, specializing in mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, stress management, and mindfulness. Gorana’s approach to therapy is shaped by each client’s unique lived experiences, values and needs. Sydney has her Master’s of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She is a Registered Psychotherapist and holds the designation of Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) from the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
Sydney utilizes many therapeutic interventions such as, Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). She has completed supplemental education in emotionally focused therapy, CBT for anxiety, mindfulness, and trauma. Sydney has experience working with all ages from children to adults, as well as a range of concerns including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, self harm, OCD, chronic illness, chronic pain, trauma and postpartum related mental health concerns.
